Are you looking for a quality live in Couple role working for an appreciative employer who values their staff and trust them to enjoy caring for the beautiful house interior and offer (when they visit) high levels of service?
Our clients are seeking an experienced and versatile live-in Couple. A housekeeper and Houseman needed for a long-term role on a private estate on the Bedfordshire Cambridgeshire borders. The role requires the couple to be self motivated and enjoy working as part of a small friendly mainly outdoor team. They are Supported by another Housekeeper to work together to keep the standards of housekeeping and laundry.
It would be wonderful if you had experience as a Head Housekeeper . Good level of family-style cooking when the principals visit and service orientated so they can enjoy a special dinner or two served nicely. Well-organised working with professional care and discretion but also nice to have a good sense of humour be kindly and have a friendly manner.
Some house maintenance and repairs when the principals are not in residence and driving such as fetching the principals when they visit.
When in residence duties would include;
- Welcoming guests, taking bags to rooms.
- Serving drinks and food.
- Menu planning, meal preparation and cooking. Outside help will be used when cooking for larger groups or formal events.
- Turning down rooms,
- Laundry.
- Driving with airport runs and occasional trips into central London
- Maintaining the cleanliness of the properties and house vehicles.
- overseeing sports facilitys
The working week is 40 hours over 5 days.
Accommodation is a well-appointed 2-bed cottage, (ensuite), with utility bills included.
