Having worked for a Cocaine Addict I know the misery Employers drug abuse can cause private Household Staff who are trying to do their work well but have to cope with erratic behaviours, mood swings and financial mismanagement. But what happens when the package you take at the door and sign for is a drug consignment or shady characters start coming to the house? when your daily housekeeping includes removal of needles and you see child neglect. What can staff do when they take a job in good faith but then have to leave for these reasons and need their reference to continue their career and yet have to practice discretion.
