Pro-active and experienced live-in Cook housekeeper to take care of a historical home to ensure the house is well maintained and looked after. Housekeeper you should be hands on and required to keep the interior of the household to a high standard.
There is a cleaner daily 2 days a week who does the main bulk of hands on cleaning
- Tidying and cleaning bathrooms, bedrooms and living areas
- Cleaning unused rooms on a less frequent basis
- Polishing brass and silver, antiques and fine furniture
- Collecting, washing, ironing and returning laundry. Hand washing delicate items
- Managing the wardrobe Arranging dry-cleaning
- Answering door and telephone
- Watering household plants and flower arranging
- Carrying out shopping
- Keeping refrigerator clean and discarding out-of-date items
- Cleaning the kitchen, defrosting the fridge & deep freeze,
- A keen and able cook for simple delicious country fare but a higher level dinner
